Personalized coaching and hypnosis to guide you through difficult life situations and transitions

Life often has pleasant surprises in store for us, but sometimes it can also throw a few hard bumps in the road. We may face a serious illness such as cancer, a divorce or difficult separation after many years together, or the sudden loss of a loved one. It can also be a turning point in your life, when you find yourself at a personal or professional crossroads, when what has defined you before no longer fits. If you find yourself in one of these life situations, if you are experiencing a traumatic event and do not know how to deal with it, I am here to accompany you through this great crossing, to guide you towards a better quality of life and enable you to remain an actor/actress in these staggering and painful phases.

As a certified Ericksonian hypnotherapist and coach, trained in strategic systemic approach, I have effective tools adapted to treat emotional and/or physical distress. Having personally gone through breast cancer, a separation and the sudden death of my partner, I have faced many challenges and tested many techniques and approaches to overcome them. This is what I want to share with people who feel the need.

I also provide the network of practitioners and therapists that I have experienced over the years.

Breast cancer

Having personally suffered from aggressive breast cancer in 2019 and gone through all stages of treatment and its physical and psychological effects, I now want to share my experience with women with this frightening disease. I can offer professional support as a certified coach, Ericksonian hypnosis therapist and graduate in strategic systemic approach, as well as caring personal support as a cancer survivor. I act as an experienced mentor, offering techniques to alleviate the physical and psychological suffering brought on by the disease:

    - For the mind, with the anxiety, numbness, vulnerability and fatigue associated with the illness.
    - For the physical pain and other side effects of the treatment (hair loss, weight loss).
    - For very specific issues, such as sexuality and diet, or managing relationships with family, especially spouses and loved ones.

I wanted to write about my adventure, my experience of the disease, to create a kind of (survival) guide for women going through the same experience. To make them feel less alone in their journey, to offer them practical advice and solutions that have worked for me to live and overcome, I hope, this cruel disease in a slightly lighter way and even with a touch of humour, which is characteristic of me. If you are directly or indirectly affected by breast cancer and would like to know more about my own experience, I offer you my personal story, which you can download for free (in French for the time being) :

Facing a serious illness can be an overwhelming and stressful experience as it comes into our lives suddenly and unexpectedly. The physical consequences can be painful, tiring and difficult to cope with, but the emotional consequences, including fear, anxiety, sadness and confusion that can compound the physical feelings, should not be underestimated.

Dealing with these issues can seem overwhelming, but there are ways to deal with the challenges and I am here to guide you through this great journey.

It is important to give yourself time to process the emotions that accompany the illness. As a professional coach, I can offer you valuable support in dealing with these difficulties using various therapeutic tools such as Ericksonian hypnosis and the strategic systemic approach. Ericksonian hypnosis can help reduce stress and anxiety and manage physical or psychological pain and other symptoms associated with the illness. The strategic systemic approach can help identify relationships and behaviors that may be contributing to stress and pain, and find ways to deal with challenges in a positive and constructive way.

Deuil

Losing a loved one is a serious ordeal to go through. The emotions involved are deep and varied; sadness, denial, anger, guilt and confusion are all common when someone loses a loved one. Grief is a complex and individual process that everyone goes through differently and which takes time and support to overcome.

I can offer deep listening and emotional support to help you identify the feelings you are experiencing and find ways of expressing them in a healthy and constructive way. I can help you develop strategies for dealing with negative emotions and move through them to transform them. My approach is to guide you through your grief, exploring the different aspects of your situation and finding ways to manage this difficult process.

Divorce, séparation

Divorce or separation is often an emotionally difficult experience. As a life coach, hypnotherapist and separated mother of two teenage children, I can offer support and guidance to help you manage and overcome the complex feelings you may be experiencing at this time.

I can help you to identify and understand the emotions you are feeling and to develop strategies for dealing with them in a healthy and effective way. We can reflect together on the reasons for the break-up to understand what happened in the relationship and to gain perspective on the situation. Sometimes it is necessary to work on self-esteem and confidence and consider ways of rebuilding after the break-up, including exploring new opportunities and working on personal goals. This can be done by reconnecting with your own values and priorities, with who you are outside the relationship, so you can move forward.

Hypnotherapy can also work as a tool in the process of 'grieving' your relationship, freeing you from the negative emotions and limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. Hypnosis can diminish your emotional pain and help you to regain a sense of inner balance.

I can also give very pragmatic advice on the logistical aspects of shared custody. With my children's father, we have been using the nesting system for over five years: our daughters stayed at the family home and we lived there alternately every other week (while each had a separate residence elsewhere). This system has its advantages and its limitations. We can discuss it. re très pragmatique sur les aspects logistiques de la garde alternée.

You find yourself vicariously embroiled in an emotional and logistical storm. Do not hesitate to contact me, I can give you the support and practical advice you need to help your loved one without neglecting your own journey. I am here for you.

Transitions

You may be at a turning point in your life. You have a successful career in the conventional sense. You are ticking the boxes of personal success. And yet... you feel that something is missing, that you are not aligned. Or you have just been hit by a personal or professional slap (or uppercut).

You feel lost, your benchmarks are gone. You are looking for a space to get a clearer picture of where you stand, to consider your options, to gain some perspective. I can help you to create this space, to make an assessment of the situation, to examine the map of your life, to discover new inner and outer territories, to decide which ones to explore and to start your journey.

THERAPEUTIC TOOLS

I am a kind of life coach, or rather a life mentor. I work with people who feel helpless facing physical or emotional problems, using a variety of therapeutic tools to help them transform these obstacles on their life journey. I only use methods that I have personally tested and embraced, including Ericksonian hypnosis, systemic and strategic approach and coaching. I also use the body and movement to speak to the mind. And furthermore I work with language, the power of words, to shape our reality.

By combining these tools and adapting them into a personalized approach for each client, with their issues and insights, I can help them, and YOU, to reach their full potential and live a more fulfilling life, a life that is “enough.

Hypnosis

Ericksonian hypnosis is a very effective therapeutic tool for treating disorders related to traumatic situations, helping you manage your emotions and anxieties during these difficult moments in your life. Hypnosis has also proven to be useful in the treatment of various addictions, depression, phobias and anxieties, eating disorders, pain management, sleep, menopause, stress management and many other situations.

If you are concerned about any of these issues and would like to deal with them in a gentle way, Ericksonian hypnosis could be the solution! A few sessions of hypnosis may be enough to improve a situation or problem.

How does a hypnosis session work?

Ericksonian hypnosis is a flexible and non-directive method that adapts to the needs, history and resources of each person. The course of a session is as follows:

1. Preliminary discussion: Before starting hypnosis, we will discuss your goals, concerns and medical history. This allows the hypnosis session to be tailored to your specific needs.

2. Induction: When you are ready, I will guide you into an altered state of consciousness. This can be done using soothing verbal suggestions, visualizations or breathing techniques.

3. Working on the problem: While you are in this altered state of consciousness, we will work on your issue using verbal suggestions to help you change the way you think or perceive things.

4. Exit: At the end of the session I will gently guide you back to wakefulness, out of the hypnotic state.

Myth :
I am afraid of hypnosis because the therapist can take control and do whatever he or she wants with me.

Reality :
You are always in control. The therapist cannot “force you to do anything you don't want to do. If you don't really want to stop smoking or change your eating habits, hypnosis won't help you. Hypnosis helps you to change the unconscious mechanisms that prevent you from making the changes you want.

What is Ericksonian hypnosis?

While classical hypnosis is more directive and focuses on direct suggestions to treat problems, Ericksonian hypnosis, which I practice, is more flexible and encourages the subject to find their own solutions by exploring their mind. Ericksonian hypnosis is particularly suitable for people who wish to understand their own behavior and deal with emotional or psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, phobias, addictions, sleep disorders and many others.

Classical hypnosis is often associated with the idea of a hypnotherapist using direct suggestions and an authoritative tone of voice to put the subject into a hypnotic trance state. In contrast, Ericksonian hypnosis is a gentler, less directive form of hypnosis. It is named after Milton H. Erickson, an American psychiatrist and psychologist who developed this approach in the 1950s. Ericksonian hypnosis relies on indirect suggestion and non-verbal communication to guide the subject into a hypnotic trance state.

In Ericksonian hypnosis, the practitioner encourages the subject to explore their own mind and find their own solutions to the problems they face. This form of hypnosis is often used to treat emotional or psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, phobias, addictions, sleep disorders and many others.Ericksonian hypnosis is generally considered to be more flexible and adaptable than conventional hypnosis. It is particularly suitable for people who want to explore their own minds and find their own solutions to the problems they face. It can also be used to help people understand their own behavior and improve their relationships with themselves and others. It allows the client to access unconscious resources that can be used to develop new strategies for adapting to the environment.

Ericksonian hypnosis is based on deep listening to the client and relationship harmonization. According to Milton H. Erickson: “Hypnosis is the life-giving relationship that takes place within a person and is awakened by the warmth of another person”.

STRATEGIC SYSTEMIC APPROACH

Strategic systemic approach is a therapeutic tool that considers the individual in his or her relational, family, social and professional context and the interactions between these different systems. The method focuses on the interpersonal relationships and social systems in which the patient operates. This approach allows us to analyze the interactions and relationships between individuals and to identify dysfunctional patterns of communication and behavior that may be hindering their personal development and emotional wellbeing.

I use this method to help my clients understand the relationship dynamics that affect them and find ways to change them in order to achieve their life goals. Strategic systemic approach is well suited to helping people with serious illnesses such as cancer, as it takes into account all the factors that can affect their physical, emotional and social well-being. This technique adapts the worldview around us, making it more ecological for the client, and gently encourages them to develop autonomy and resilience, providing them with resources and skills to overcome the challenges they face.
